I did when I was a teenager and my Grandfather Linville showed me a book, The Linville Family in America by Alice Eichholz published in 1982. This got me wondering where my Jones family was from and then what about the Johnson’s? Thus began my journey into the past where I have found some amazing details and history. Now, I want to provide some of those same insights to others who may be asking “Who am I?” or “Where did my family come from?”

I have been researching my own family for more than 20 years and earned my PLCGS at the International Institute for Genealogical Studies for American Records and for Business and Professional Development. I am a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Southeast Chapter of the APG, the Missouri Genealogical Society, the Virginia Genealogical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. I am also a member and volunteer at the Nodaway County Historical Society.
